Tai Murray, Todd Palmer, & Friends: Brahms and Beyond

RESERVE GENERAL ADMISSION

Tai Murray, violin
Todd Palmer, clarinet
Melissa Reardon, viola
Julia Bruskin, cello
Aaron Wunsch, piano

Violinist Tai Murray (“superb,“ New York Times) and clarinetist Todd Palmer (“elegant…spontaneous,” New York Times) lead a program of music by — and inspired by — Johannes Brahms. Caroline Shaw’s recent Thousandth Orange, inspired by playing Brahms piano quartets, pairs with Brahms’s searing and passionate Piano Quartet in C Minor, op. 60; Nino Rota’s lyrical and jaunty Clarinet Trio pairs with Brahms’s autumnal Clarinet Trio. Violist Melissa Reardon (“virtuosic,” Classical Voice), cellist Julia Bruskin, and pianist and Artistic Director Aaron Wunsch join.

Program

Johannes Brahms — Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano, op. 114

Nino Rota — Trio for Clarinet, Cello, and Piano

Caroline Shaw — Thousandth Orange for Piano Quartet

Johannes Brahms — Piano Quartet in C Minor, op. 60

Watch & Listen

Tai Murray and Friends perform Vaughan-Williams’s Piano Quintet at Music Mondays

Todd Palmer performs Debussy’s Première Rhapsodie

RESERVE ADMISSION

Most of our 300 seats are for those who just show up — but as a courtesy to our friends who work late, we set aside some advance reservations for general admission. All other seats are 'first come, first served' and are available as early as 6:45 pm, when the doors open. Note that reservations are good for entrance only, not for specific seats. Reservations are void after 7:20pm.

If reservations are gone, don't worry — just show up! It is rare for Music Mondays to turn anyone away.

Music Mondays is grateful to its generous donors! Join our supporters and be rewarded with reserved seats at 2 or more concerts. Learn more
