The Parker Quartet brings its “exceptional virtuosity [and] imaginative interpretation” (Washington Post) to Schubert’s searing “Death and the Maiden” Quartet, 200 years after its premiere in 1826. They are joined by renowned Schubert interpreter, tenor Nicholas Phan, for the song on which the Quartet is based. Phan, “one of the world’s most remarkable singers” (Boston Globe), also offers Schubert’s great song cycle, Die schöne Müllerin (The Beautiful Miller’s Daughter), with Music Mondays Artistic Director, Aaron Wunsch.
